Eclectic: Thinking outside the box
When existing things are reimagined, something great can emerge. This is proven by chief designer Felix Diener with his collection Eclectic, for which he deliberately thought outside the norm. The result: something entirely new, born from marburg’s extensive expertise in materials and techniques. Wallpapers that combine appearance, texture, structure, and light refraction like a creative building kit—creating something greater than the sum of its parts. A fascinating shift in perspective for any space.

Highlights of Eclectic

Innovative designs
"Good design is simple—once you understand why it can sometimes be so difficult," says Felix Diener, perfectly capturing the balance between boundless creativity and its transformation into a practical product.

Luxury techniques
Felix Diener believes, “The greatest luxury is having time to experiment.” Equally luxurious are the results of his carefully crafted and expertly executed experiments—wallpapers unlike anything seen before.

Unique surfaces
The glass beads, embedded with glitter particles in their fixation, appear like liquid light.

Versatile plain variants
A moiré pattern displays the typical water wave texture usually found on pure silk. The wallpaper also evokes the elegance of this fine fabric.

Main designs of the collection
With great depth and texture, a solid-colored all-over design with a granular surface captivates. Its particles, resembling tiny quartz shards, are applied with high precision and uniformity, allowing for a seamless wall design. The surface, with a fine metallic coating, creates impressive visual depth.
Organically shaped pentagons, mysteriously varying in color, leave room for interpretation: while some may be reminded of the shimmering scale structure of reptile skin, others see it as a surface adorned with gemstones—pentagons that spark the imagination.

Three solid colors create a sense of calm and can be combined in a variety of ways.

The same design is also available in a variant that changes in several tones depending on the light and viewpoint—either from blue to turquoise to violet, or, as a finely nuanced counterpart to the hammered pattern, from jade green to copper red.

The third design in the collection is a textile-inspired plain, where a subtle metallic thread appears woven into the surface, giving it a fine shimmer. This technique enhances the fabric-like character of the design while adding subtle highlights of shine.

A highlight of the collection is the three fascinating wall murals, which resemble works of art on the wall. An enchanted-looking forest, in a color palette of beige, gray, and wool white, draws the viewer into a quiet and mysterious world.
