This man combines many talents in one person: after graduating from high school in his native Dakar, Papis aspired to a career as a professional track and field athlete and came to Paris on a sports scholarship, where he enrolled in the computer science department. But when a sports photographer spotted him preparing for the World Championships in Athletics, the rest of his life took him to the catwalks of the world instead of the tartan track. The successful entrepreneur has retained his willingness to explore new avenues to this day: the most recent example is his creative cooperation with Marburger Tapetenfabrik, which brings high fashion to the wall.

The four main design themes are set in the creative tension between Europe and Africa, the glamorous world of fashion and fascinating nature. They are transformed into stylish wallpaper couture using techniques that can predominantly only be realized by marburg. These include:

• The contrast of matt and glossy elements, which stands for the meeting of nature and fashion. This design group includes a stylized palm leaf, which unfolds its almost graphic-abstract effect rather discreetly in non-colors and pastels, but appears deliberately glamorous with metallic contrasts in green-gold or black-silver. The contrast is also varied by fine metallic lines that break through a matte base with a noble sheen and by a hatching that is modeled on the cracks in sun-dried earth. Matte plain wallpapers are available to combine.
• A series of wave patterns that look like lines drawn by the wind in the desert sand or the gentle curve of dune ridges. Depending on the color scheme, the waves also evoke associations with reflecting sunlight on water. The fashionable eye-catcher here is a vividly colored digital print on silver foil, which varies the wave motif in the style of hand-knotted ribbons or strings of pearls. In this design group, a finely crosshatched Strie Uni provides the perfect basis for a decorative mix & match.
• Wallpapers are reminiscent of handmade fabrics in traditional weaving technique, which imitate the texture of textile yarns in an uneven high-low structure and thus offer both visual and tactile appeal. The Handicraft theme is varied in soft tones that further emphasize the woven image and blend harmoniously into any ambience.
• A larger-than-life portrait of Papis Loveday is the personal signature of his first wallpaper collection. As a person and model, he embodies the contrast of naturalness and high fashion staging par excellence. The digital print on silver foil brings this tension into focus as a striking eye-catcher and seamlessly integrates photographic art into the wall design.
