Paper wallpapers
Paper wallpapers consist of two layers, with the top one printed and the bottom one partially remaining on the wall when removed.
Embossed Wallpapers
Vinyl Wallpapers
These wallpapers consist of a backing material with a firmly bonded vinyl coating. The front side is printed, smooth, or embossed. Vinyl wallpapers are preferably used in areas where exceptional surface durability is required.
Non-woven Wallpapers
Non-woven wallpapers replace the paper backing with a special fleece, making them easier to handle. The wall is directly pasted, and the wallpaper can be applied without soaking time. They are dimensionally stable, bridge small cracks, and can be removed dry during renovations.
Paper Wallpapers
Paper wallpapers usually consist of two layers of paper. The top layer is embossed and color-printed, while the bottom layer serves as a backing material and (in peelable qualities) remains on the surface after the top layer is removed during renovation.
Embossed Wallpapers
In embossed wallpapers, color pastes are printed onto the backing material. The textured surface creates an interesting three-dimensional effect through light and shadow. Most embossed wallpapers are highly washable, light-resistant, and peelable, making future renovations easier.
Qualitätsymbole

Water-resistant during application:
The symbol “Water-resistant during application” identifies wallpapers that are resistant to moisture during the wallpapering process.
Excess paste or light dirt can be removed with a damp cloth without damaging the material.
This allows for precise and clean application, avoiding visual imperfections on the surface.
After completion, the wallpaper should be allowed to dry carefully to maintain its quality in the long term.

Wash-resistant:
The symbol “Wash-resistant” identifies wallpapers that can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild cleaning agents.
Light dirt such as dust or fingerprints can be gently removed without affecting the surface.
This ensures a well-maintained appearance over time, especially in rooms with higher usage.
However, excessive or frequent contact with water should be avoided to prevent damage to the wallpaper.

Reverse hanging:
“Reverse hanging” refers to applying every second wallpaper strip rotated by 180°.
This reduces color and texture variations in certain patterns or production batches.
By alternating between normal and reversed strips, a uniform overall appearance is achieved.
The procedure follows the manufacturer’s instructions and should be carefully observed for delicate surfaces.

Duplicated embossed wallcovering
This symbol indicates wallpaper with a special embossing that is double reinforced.
This gives it a particularly structured surface, which is both visually appealing and tactilely noticeable.
This type of wallpaper is especially suitable for decorative wall designs and adds an elegant look to rooms.

Sufficiently light-resistant
Wallpapers with this symbol are somewhat resistant to light exposure.
This means they retain their colors for a longer period but may fade over time when exposed to strong and prolonged sunlight.
Therefore, it is recommended not to use these wallpapers in areas with intense sunlight.

Free match
The symbol “Free match” means that no specific pattern alignment is required when applying the wallpaper.
The individual strips can be joined without offset, making wallpapering especially easy and time-saving.

Pre-pasting
This marking indicates that the wallpaper must be coated with paste before application.
The paste should be evenly distributed on the back and left to soak for a short time before the wallpaper strip is attached to the wall.

Offset match
The symbol “Offset match” indicates that the wallpaper pattern does not align directly next to each other but must be applied offset by a specific height.
This is especially important for patterned wallpapers to create a harmonious overall appearance.

Pre-pasting the surface
This refers to wallpaper that is applied not directly but by applying paste to the wall.
This method makes application easier since the strips can be processed immediately without soaking time.

Overlapping double-cut
This symbol means that the wallpaper strips slightly overlap and must then be precisely aligned with a double cut.
This ensures clean, almost invisible transitions between the strips.

TÜV certification mark
The TÜV certification confirms that the wallpaper meets tested quality and safety standards.
This includes criteria such as environmental friendliness, health compatibility, and material quality.

Pasting wallpaper
For this type of wallpaper, the paste must be applied directly to the back of the wallpaper.
After a short soaking time, the strip can be attached to the wall and positioned.

Impact resistance
This symbol identifies a particularly durable wallpaper that better withstands impacts, scratches, and mechanical influences.
It is suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways or children’s rooms.

Peelable
A peelable wallpaper can be removed in two layers during a later renovation.
The top layer can be removed dry, while the bottom layer remains as lining on the wall and can be used as a base for new wallpaper.

Flame retardant
This symbol indicates that the wallpaper is flame retardant and thus meets enhanced fire safety requirements.
This is an important safety feature, especially in public or commercial areas.

Abrasion-resistant
Abrasion-resistant wallpapers can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a soft brush.
They are more resistant to dirt and are especially suitable for use in kitchens or hallways.

Fully removable
Wallpapers with this symbol can be completely and easily removed from the wall without leaving any residue.
This is particularly advantageous for rented apartments or for frequently changing wall designs.

Non-Woven (Fleece)
This type of wallpaper is made from a fleece material that is particularly tear-resistant.
It is applied directly to a pasted wall, which makes wallpapering easier since no soaking time is required.

Wet peelable
To remove this wallpaper, it must be thoroughly soaked first.
After a short soaking time, it can be peeled off more easily without damaging the wall.

Good lightfastness
This wallpaper has a high resistance to sunlight.
Even with prolonged exposure to light, the colors remain vibrant and do not fade quickly.
It is especially suitable for bright rooms with direct sunlight.
